Huntzu respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (โDMCAโ), codified at 17 U.S.C. ยง 512, and other applicable intellectual property laws, we respond expeditiously to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement submitted in accordance with this Policy.
1. Nature of the Service โ What Huntzu Displays
Huntzu is a search engine and discovery platform that indexes information about creators that we reasonably believe to be publicly available, including:
- Creator usernames and display names
- Publicly available profile and header images
- Publicly posted descriptions, categories, and tags
- Publicly listed pricing and public statistics
- Hyperlinks to creators' official third-party profiles
We do not host, store, or distribute any paid, subscriber-only, leaked, or illegally obtained material, and we do not display sexually explicit imagery. All content transactions and subscriptions occur exclusively on the respective third-party platforms. Huntzu functions as an information location tool within the meaning of 17 U.S.C. ยง 512(d): a valid takedown results in the removal of the relevant links, images, and metadata from our index.
Being listed on Huntzu provides creators with free exposure and discoverability โ users searching for creators are directed to your official profile at no cost to you.
2. Profile Removal vs. Copyright Claims
Most removal requests we receive are not copyright disputes โ they are creators who simply prefer not to be listed. You do not need to file a DMCA notice to be removed from Huntzu.
- If you want your profile delisted: use our free creator opt-out. Email [email protected] with your username, a link to your profile on Huntzu, and proof of control over the underlying account. Verified requests are processed typically within 5 business days, and removed profiles are added to a suppression list to prevent re-indexing. See Section 6 of our Terms of Service.
- If specific copyrighted work of yours is being used without authorization: file a DMCA takedown notice as described below.
Profile removal is always free of charge. Any person or service demanding payment for removal from Huntzu is not affiliated with us and is fraudulent by definition.
Please note that removal from Huntzu does not remove content from the source platform, from other websites, or from third-party search engines โ it removes the listing from our index only.
3. How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice
To be effective under the DMCA, your written notice must include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work โ Describe the copyrighted work(s) you claim has been infringed. If your claim involves multiple works, a representative list is sufficient. Where available, include registration numbers and a URL to an authorized example of the work.
- Identification of the infringing material โ Provide the specific URL(s) on huntzu.com where the allegedly infringing material appears, with enough information for us to locate it. Screenshots are helpful. Vague or incomplete location information may delay or prevent processing.
- Your contact information โ Your full legal name, complete mailing address, telephone number, email address, and your relationship to the copyright owner (e.g., โI am the copyright ownerโ or โI am authorized to act on behalf of the copyright ownerโ). Agents and representatives must include evidence of their authorization to act for the owner.
- Good faith statement โ Include the following statement: โI have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (including fair use).โ
- Accuracy and authority statement โ Include the following statement: โI declare, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner, or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.โ
- Signature โ Your physical or electronic signature. Typing your full legal name constitutes an electronic signature.
Notices that do not include all required information may not be valid under the DMCA and may not receive a response. We may request additional information before taking action.
4. Where to Send Your Notice
Send your complete DMCA takedown notice to:
- [email protected]
- Subject line: โDMCA Takedown Notice โ [Your Name]โ
5. What Happens After You File
Upon receipt of a notice, we will:
- Review it promptly โ valid notices are reviewed within 48 hours of receipt
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material expeditiously if the notice is complete and valid
- Where applicable, add the removed material to our suppression list to prevent re-indexing
- Notify any user who submitted the material, where applicable
6. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe material you submitted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a written counter-notification containing all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Huntzu may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice or their agent
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not notify us within 10โ14 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore the removed material at our discretion.
7. False Claims Warning
Warning: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Before submitting a notice or counter-notification, consider carefully whether the use at issue is authorized or protected by fair use or another exception. If you are unsure, consult an attorney.
8. Repeat Infringer Policy
Huntzu has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts or access of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the Service for any user who infringes the intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is repeat infringement.
9. No Legal Advice
The information in this DMCA Policy is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Huntzu acts as an intermediary that indexes publicly available information; we do not pre-screen indexed content and rely on rights holders to notify us of allegedly infringing material through the process described above. We are not responsible for determining whether content infringes your rights, and we recommend seeking independent legal counsel if you have questions about your intellectual property rights.
10. Modifications to This Policy
We may modify this DMCA Policy at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to this page with an updated โLast updatedโ date. This DMCA Policy is part of Huntzu's Terms of Service; by using the Service, you agree to comply with it.
